INTRODUCING

Lissa Scotland

Based in Duluth, Minnesota, Lissa Scotland is a contemporary artist with one 25 year experience.  She is known for her expressive abstract floral paintings and vibrant use of colour.  Inspired by beauty found in imperfection, her work balances bold, playful energy with a sense of warm and ease.

Lissa began painting as a young woman coping with anxiety, eventually discovering a visual language that allowed her to express what words often could not.  Her paintings have since evolved into joyful, intuitive compositions filled with organic forms, unexpected colours, and loose, gestural marks.

Through her work, Lissa celebrates the imperfect, the emotional, and the beautifully undone.  Her paintings bring colour and personality into a space while offering something deeper - a reminder that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
