Elzahn Nel

Based in Prince Alfred's Hamlet, near Cape Town, South Africa, Elzahn is a visual artist and illustrator whose work is deeply inspired by the textures, colours, and landscapes of rural South Africa. Working in gouache, watercolour, and paper, she creates pieces that beautifully balance softness and strength.

Having spent seven years living and exhibiting in Bangkok, including a residency at Tentacles Art Space, Elzahn has built a distinctive artistic voice that has led to collaborations with leading South African brands and publications. Her evocative, contemporary works bring warmth, character, and a sense of place to interiors, making each piece a timeless and collectible celebration of slow living and natural beauty.
