Carmen King

Australian artist Carmen King creates luminous landscapes where colour, memory and imagination meet. Inspired by the Australian landscape, Carmen transforms familiar scenes into vibrant, dreamlike worlds through expressive mark making, rich texture and joyful colour.

Working intuitively, she layers colour and movement to capture not simply a place, but the feeling of being there: sunlit paddocks, expansive skies, textural trees and abundant botanicals.

Carmen’s work is held in private collections across Australia and internationally, with two sold out original collections and strong demand for commissioned works. Her work will also be featured in UK House & Garden in 2026.

At the heart of Carmen’s practice is a desire to bring the joy, light and emotion of a remembered place into the home.
