Anya is a Cape Town–based visual artist whose work captures the subtle beauty of the natural world. From a young age, she immersed herself in drawing and painting, exploring colour, light, and detail. She earned top marks for her Grade 12 exhibition and a scholarship to the Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT), while also studying Social Anthropology and Development Studies to deepen her understanding of culture and place.
After several years abroad, teaching art and travelling through Southeast Asia, Anya returned to Cape Town in 2021 to focus on her practice and art education. Her paintings, often inspired by the Western Cape’s forests and fynbos landscapes, evoke serenity, mystery, and fleeting beauty, inviting viewers into spaces that feel both familiar and dreamlike.
