INTRODUCING

Alice De Miramon

Artist Alice de Miramon paints on paper supports, often over a hundred years old, as well as on canvases. She establishes a deep connection with her work as a tool for memory and history.

The support, whether "reclaimed" or not, is an essential component of her artistic language, fostering a dialogue between the support's past and contemporary painting. The concept of ecology is integrated into her work through the transformation of objects over time. In her creations, humans and animals also coexist in a space of constant transformation. The subjects evoke the female body, love, and the animal kingdom, depicting a nature unfolding like a jungle that human hands try to control.

Wild beasts mingle with humans in a silent dialogue. The naive lines appear simple but unfold endlessly, following a musical score without music and resulting in a body of work that is already prolific.

"Art is being fed by what you see in everyday life. It has connections with my own life as well!"
